  1. Short:    GUI-Creation-Engine (with many Features) for AmigaE

  6. This is a new engine for GUI designing (works like EasyGUI), there
  7. are a lot of Features in this release (1.0) which make this Package
  8. interesting for AmigaE-Programmers.
  9. NewGUI 1.0 is downward compatible to EasyGUI (the GUI-Descriptions
  10. are compaible, only the used procedures are different!), but NewGUI
  11. isn`t a EasyGUI-clone. NewGUI was 100% written by myself and NOT
  12. with the EasyGUI-Code! I had only a little look into the EasyGUI-
  13. Source to make my GUI-Rendering-Engine Syntax-Compatible to EasyGUI!

  15. Main-Features (differences to EasyGUI):

  17.  - NewGUI opens its own Screen if it is wished (you could choose if
  18.    NewGUI should clone the WB-Screen or open a screen with own
  19.    definitions(
  20.  - Fully working ARexx-Port Interface for easy-using in own
  21.    programs (Using the AFC-Class Rexxer)
  22.  - There are a lot of new GUI-Elements (like DoubleBevels,
  23.    PatternFilling for the Window-Background or for groups,
  24.    Filling with Bitmaps, too aso...)
  25.  - New Plugins (Textfield-Plugin, Icon-Plugin, Busy-Plugin, Bitmap-
  26.    Plugin ...)
  27.  - Very easy MultiGUI-Handling (Easyier than EasyGUI`s)
  28.  - AmigaGUIDE-Online-Help (for EASY Gadget!!!)
  29.  - Very small for all these Features! (only a little bigger than
  30.    EasyGUI 3.x)
  31.  - No AppWindow-Support (NO ONE NEEDS THIS - I HAD ASKED A LOT
  32.    OF DEVELOPERS!)
  33.  - Only one Procedure for getting/changing Attributes (setattrsA()),
  34.    not a lot of procedures with cryptic Syntaxes... All Paramaters
  35.    are given over with Tags!
  36.  - And a lot more!!

  38. Sorry, there are only German Docs available at the moment, the
  39. English ones came a little later!

  41. It is Allowed to spread there Archive throgh the AmiNET, Share-
  42. ware CD`s (if you send me a little Mail to tell me that you use
  43. it on CD`s...) and through BBS.
